well, it's been about seven months since my last post... hard to know where to begin this one!
my dad flew back to san diego yesterday evening. he stayed with us for eight days, helping me remodel my kitchen. we worked like DOGS! (of course, i've hardly ever seen a dog work... maybe those australian sheep herding dogs on TV, but otherwise they seem to just eat and sleep).
i have lots of new respect for construction workers. seriously, they should all earn $100K per year.
it's time for the working people of the world to unite and throw off the shackles of the oppressive capitalist system that rewards bigwigs who sit in air conditioned offices, making $10 million a year, while the guy prying the shingles off the roof in 100 degree heat makes $15 an hour. of course, not if it means i can't get my starbucks and my chinese-made hi-def TV. ;) i'd make a lousy communist.
eve, my daughter, continues to be remarkable. she is definitely above average in every respect. i'm not biased--or, even if i am, i am stating the objective truth here. julie, my wife, is also fab. she ROCKS! (said with that little nod of the head, like a heavy metal headbanger -- "rock on!") seriously, my wife and daughter are absolutely wonderful... i'm a blessed dude.
